What a home checkup is
A Son in Town home checkup is a visual walk-through of a home’s visible, accessible areas, with practical observations and a written summary. It is not a licensed home inspection, an engineering, structural or code-compliance review, or a medical, safety or care assessment. We may miss conditions that are hidden, inaccessible or outside the scope of the visit. For anything significant we will recommend a licensed professional.
Permission to visit
If you request a visit for someone else, you confirm that the homeowner knows about the visit and agrees to it. We will not enter a home without the homeowner’s (or their authorized representative’s) permission.
Pricing and payment
Home Checkup: $99. Service visits: $75/hour, one-hour minimum. Prices are confirmed before the visit. The person named as responsible for payment agrees to pay for completed services. A card kept on file is charged only after the visit is completed.
Cancellations
Please let us know as soon as you can if you need to reschedule. There is no charge for cancelling before the visit.
Emergencies
Son in Town is not an emergency service. If someone is in danger, call 911.
